The Olive Mass

Celebrating Food & Blessing Those Who Prepare and Serve It

The Catholic Church offers spiritual gatherings for various professionals groups. For example, there is the White Mass is for Medical Professionals; the Red Mass is for Legal Professionals; and the Blue Mass for Law Enforcement & Emergency Responders. But what “food professionals”? How can the Catholic Church support, pray for, celebrate, honor and encourage those involved in the Food, Beverage and Hospitality Industry? In Italy, there are special Masses at the Vatican for Chefs, dedicated on the Feast of St. Francis Carraciolo.

To help fill this void, The Table Foundation will host the second annual “The Olive Mass:  Celebrating Food & Blessing Those Who Prepare and Serve It.”  It will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017, at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans at 10:00 AM.

The Table Foundation will also host a reception at 11:30 AM at Chef John Besh’s Pigeon & Prince located at 129 Camp Street, followed by a Panel Discussion of some of New Orleans’s best and most famous chefs. To register please call (443) 541-2390 register at thetablefoundation.org/the-olive-mass
